Property area The property is located in the bay of Agios Andreas, on the sea and near the port of Katakolo in the western Peloponnese. St. Andrews Bay is 315km far away. from Athens, 130 km. far away from the international airport of Kalamata and 75 km. far away from Araxos Airport. These two airports accept dozens of charter flights annually from all European countries. At a distance of 3 km Katogolo is located, a port that has grown into an international cruise hub with over 1,000,000 visitors per year. At 85 km, the ancient Temple of Epicureus Apollo is the work of Iktino, the architect of the Parthenon. The temple is a masterpiece and one of the best preserved monuments of classical antiquity and the first in Greece that UNESCO included in the World Heritage sites. There are also the wine roads with the famous wineries, where you can taste wonderful varieties of wines. Merkouris Estate is located just 2km from Katakolo and is a visitor, a 150 year old estate that is famous for its 15 different varieties of Greek and international. At 50 km you will find the port of Kyllini, where you can take a ferry boat in about 1 hour to the island of Zakynthos or to Kefalonia. Within 5km is the endless beach of Katakolos-Spianzas and 7km away is the long sandy beach of Skafidia, opposite to Zakynthos, within the Ionian Sea. Within walking distance there are modern world-class hotels (Aldemar Olympian Village, Grecotel Olympia, Costa Navarino).  Matzakouras beach where the property is located is an exotic area that the visitor will not find anywhere else. The beach is well hidden between rocks and trees, but when someone finds it there, it can take hours away from the fast pace of everyday life. It communicates with the sea through a cement stairway that starts from the yard-veranda of the villa and ends up in the sea (50cm depth of water).
