The city of Kavala is located in the northeast of Macedonia on the shores of the eponymous gulf in the Aegean Sea. Its ancient name - Neapolis. It is the second largest port city of Northern Greece, located 160 kilometers from Thessaloniki. The Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman era affected the appearance of the city. Once through its territory passes the main road of the Roman Empire that linked Rome and Constantinople. About that era clearly show the ancient city walls, the Acropolis, Byzantine churches and the ancient theater. The old town - cozy streets with coffee shops and restaurants in the open air.
